I have been dying to start a new blog about the home rowing machine for years. You see I was a featured lightweight in an eight at a prominent New England rowing school and one year at the Dad Vails, we almost won it all.
So I think talking about home rowing machines might just be me up a creek, without a paddle for all the right reasons this time. LOL.
The home exercise world has never been hotter and while there seems to be a new way to lose weight with exercise equipment from home, the fact is that burning calories on a home rowing machine is one of the best ways to lose pounds there is.
Here’s what I never knew about rowing until I was on that rowing team from 1982-1985. Most of the power needed to row a crew shell comes from the LEGS…not from the arms. I never had a clue about that until the first time I got out of the racing shell the first time and fell down on the dock.
Yes, literally.
Home rower machines have come of age and are all relatively lightweight and VERY durable AS THERE ARE A LOT OF MOVING PARTS ON A NEW ROWING MACHINE.
So as I begin my journey of writing this blog about home rowing machines, let yourself imagine what having a world class rowing machine in your house or apartment would mean for so many different reasons.
